Door hangers go where mail cannot: onto the front door, at eye level, the day a crew is working on the street. Home services companies, restaurants, cleaning services, political campaigns and real estate agents use them for the streets around a job, an opening or a listing.
We print them on 14pt cover so they survive weather and a swinging door, die-cut with a standard hook, with an optional perforated coupon or business card at the bottom.
Door hangers vs. EDDM
Door hangers cost about the same to print as an EDDM postcard, but someone has to walk them, which limits reach to a few hundred homes per person per day. EDDM reaches every door on a route for $0.26 in postage with no walking. Most contractors use both: hangers on the five streets around today's job, EDDM to the ZIP code around the shop.
What to put on a door hanger
One offer and a deadline, a picture of the result, a phone number and a QR code large enough to scan from the door, and a tear-off the homeowner can keep on the fridge after the hanger goes in the recycling. What size are door hangers?
The most common size is 4.25×11 inches, which fits a standard door handle and holds an offer, a picture and contact details. 3.5×8.5 is a smaller economy size; 4.25×14 and 5.5×17 give room for a menu or a coupon strip.
Can door hangers be mailed?
Not as door hangers; the die-cut hook is not mailable. The same design printed as a 6.25×11 or 8.5×11 EDDM postcard mails to every door on a carrier route for $0.26 postage, and many customers run both.
